FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why was AMOSTM invented?

AMOSTM was created to give streaming music, with its lo-fi, low bit rate sound files, the richness of sound that consumers were used to getting from quality vinyl and the best CDs. AMOSTM was invented to bring musicality back to streaming music. The history of digital music is one of incremental improvements in hardware and software, a progress that has long ago reached its sonic limit in terms of clarity and atmospheric emotional impact. AMOSTM is based on both digital technology and an understanding of the human music response and its triggers. Music is now digitally streamed from the cloud. And it needs to sound better and with more emotional impact. The extra emotion that your brand needs to stand apart. That is what AMOSTM does.

What is AMOSTM exactly?

AMOSTM is a suite of proprietary, patented audio DSP (Digital Sound Processing) processes that is designed to go at the head end of any music streaming service, or work embedded in any music streaming app or hardware. AMOSTM works with Telcos, or private streaming systems of any scale. AMOSTM technology is installed remotely and quickly, and permanently ups the perceived quality, volume and impact of the host streaming music service with essentially no installation cost. Furthermore, AMOSTM provides an additional upsell source of revenue to the host music service – all while it is thrilling the millions of music fans who are valued customers.

AMOSTM gives your streaming service a unique and powerful branded sound using a curated selection of AMOSTM Customizable sound algorithms: AMOS ImpactTM, AMOS PowerTM, AMOS StudioTM, AMOS EnergyTM, AMOS OrganicTM, and AMOS BeatTM.

How does AMOSTM do this?

Many months in development, AMOSTM DSP technology does its musical magic by working to slightly but deeply alter sound using the latest science of how humans actually hear music. Through AMOSTM’s algorithmic “tuning” to the listener’s most basic listening response, AMOSTM is proven to make any digital music sound qualitatively better. AMOSTM wasn’t developed to some arbitrary “hi fidelity” engineering specification. The new AMOSTM technology is designed for and tested by real listeners who hear the added emotion it gives to the music, while still being delivered in the smallest streaming music file sizes. AMOSTM algorithms are created in part using AI analysis run on thousands of real world songs. AMOSTM‘s unique technology is not designed to a mathematical abstraction, but for the tested goal of achieving a heightened, attractive and memorable experience for its listeners.

Will I hear a difference between regular streaming music and AMOSTM Sound music?

Yes, instantly, on the first listen. But there is another AMOSTM audio benefit which comes after that, over days, weeks and months. The science behind AMOSTM gives it a powerful long-term effect, making a sound improvement that is not only in volume and clarity, but in consistent listener enjoyment. Additionally the AMOSTM effect can be fine-tuned for any genre of music or any sound environment.

Is AMOSTM technology intended for super high-end audio systems?

While AMOSTM works superbly with the highest fidelity sound platforms, that’s not its primary mission. AMOSTM is designed for the world-wide “Earbud Generation” of streaming music consumers, and for loudspeaker installations of any scale. Its application is most effective inside the music streaming system’s ecosystem where the power of AMOSTM‘s unique sound enhancement ability turns the low-quality conventional music streaming services’ “product” into a different and dramatically better sound experience for the listener. AMOSTM sound is larger, musically richer, sonically more powerful and instantly apparent and attractive to the mass of music streaming consumers with no change in streaming file size or cost. AMOSTM makes your streaming music new again.

Who created AMOSTM ?

AMOSTM was created over two years by a technical team headed by a major label music executive, who is a multiple patent-awarded inventor and entrepreneur – and who was never satisfied by the sound and atmosphere created by digital music. He particularly rejected the sound of low-bit rate streaming music and he found ways to deliver more musicality, emotion and impact from streaming music – even from the smallest-sized music files. His engineering team included him and two Stanford University DSP electrical engineers with The Stanford Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA), as well as a recording studio expert and several Platinum record producers. After initial experiments, the great bulk of AMOSTM coding was performed by an Electrotechnical University MSEE music/DSP engineer in Saint Petersburg (Russia). AMOSTM came from experienced experts known for their “golden ears” and sensitivity to sound. The AMOSTM development group have a background in music and graduate-level cutting edge digital engineering. Four team members have been performing musicians.
